The Nuestra Señora de los Remedios-Picasat Cooperative has its origins in 1959, when a local group of olive growers was created in the municipality of Olvera, located in the heart of the Sierra de Cádiz.
In 1973 The operation of our Oil Mill started, con 700.000 ground kilos. 35 years later, the evolution has been enormous, passing to the 16 million kilos of olives in the campaign 2008-2009.
At the moment, The Cooperative produces EVOOs from organic production, integrated and single-varietal production of arbequino, arbosana and verdial being marketed under the trademarks Los Remedios, Nature Gold, Dehesa Vieja and Olivar Sierra de Cádiz, oil, the latter covered by the Designation of Origin Sierra de Cádiz.
Over the years, new activities have been added, compound feed factories, grain warehouses, livestock warehouses…
We have three compound feed factories located in the municipalities of Campillos, Olvera and Jerez de la Frontera and a mixing plant located in the municipality of El Bosque.
In addition, we have several cereal collection centers campaign located in the different production centers and certified seed selection plant, In addition to being a partner since its incorporation in the year 1998 from the company Agrovegetal S.A. dedicated to obtaining and developing new varieties of extensive crops and the production of certified seeds.
Among other activities, the entity manages reception floor, decapping and drying of almonds both conventional production and ecological production and has a projected pistachio reception and drying plant.
From the most livestock side of the Cooperative, The entity has several calf feeders, lambs and Iberian pigs located in the municipalities of Olvera, Alcalá de los Gazules and Ronda. Adema, A center has recently been acquired in the district of Nueva Jarilla. And as an integrated activity in the Dcoop group is the goat milk collection.
Today, we have more than 7.000 partners distributed mainly throughout the provinces of Cádiz, Seville and Malaga, who enjoy the services of our cooperative, among which stand out in addition to those already mentioned, marketing of seeds and livestock, sección de crédito, veterinary care, supply of A and B diesel fuel or our country product stores.
Although our headquarters are located in the municipality of Olvera, we have an important influence, above all, at the provincial level and in neighboring provinces. Currently, has 8 production centers located in the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga.
We have facilities in the Cadiz municipalities of Olvera, Jerez de la Frontera, The Forest, Los Villalones and Alcalá de los Gazules, and in the Malaga municipality of Campillos.
